Have you done trampolining as a child or an adult?
I started trampolining in 2004 when I was 7 years old and I am still competing today, around the UK and internationally too.

What can you tell us about your trampolining?
I have competed at many interesting places for national competitions. I have also competed at international competitions, once in Portugal and twice in Denmark. I compete in individual trampolining as well as synchronised trampolining with my trampolining partner Jemma Gray. In the past year we started competing at national level competitions together, where we placed first at one competition and second at another, and we qualified for the national finals at the Velodrome in the London Olympic Park.

What would be your TOP TIPS for memorising a trampolining routine?
My Top Tips for memorising a trampolining routine would be to:

1. Read the routine through a few times to get the skills into your head.

2. Next, work through the routine in your head and act it out and work out how you will complete the moves before you attempt to do them on the trampoline.

3. Break the routine into sections. By breaking up the routine it allows you to work on each specific part so that you master the parts before putting the whole routine together.

4. Put the complete routine together and work on perfecting it as a whole.

5. Now practise the routine over and over because practice makes permanent!

Thank you Demi for sharing your trampolining experiences and keep up the great work at Flair. You’re an inspiration to our budding young gymnasts and especially our trampolinists.

Don’t forget to secure your child’s place at Christmas Tumble Camp at your gym club in Surrey where your child will learn Gymnastics, Acro and Trampolining. But, please hurry…we only have a few remaining places available on 27th – 29th December at Guildford Spectrum.
